Junior Beginner Clinics are for prospective umpires 18 years of age or younger and in High School. No prior umpiring experience is required. We will train you on the basics of lacrosse umpiring through online, classroom, and on-the-field training. Completing the course, passing a 3-4 hour field rating session, joining US Lacrosse and joining EMWLUA earns the participant a Junior Rating.
If you are a returning junior umpire then your tuition is waived BUT you still need to attend all three sessions.
Requirements for all junior umpires:
1) Join EMWLUA and pay your annual dues. These dues are included in the clinic fee for new umpires. Returning junior umpires should renew online at www.emwlua.org.
2) Join US Lacrosse and pay their dues (designate yourself as a "player/official")
3) Attend ALL clinic sessions and field opportunities of clinic. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4) Complete the USL Girls' Lacrosse Rules Online Course available at uslacrosse.org. It is a free course.
